Filmmaker castings
Directors, cinematographers, videographers, editors and producers find work here: brand films, fashion videos, campaign content and behind-the-scenes. A casting says what the shoot needs and when. Applying happens in the app, where your reel and portfolio sit next to your application.

Join the waitlistWhat a filmmaker casting on CREW includes
Filmmaker castings cover the whole crew of a shoot: directors, cinematographers, camera operators, videographers and editors. A casting can ask for several of those roles at once, each with how many people it needs and its own pay when the poster sets it, along with the shoot date, the deadline to apply and how long the production runs.
Who posts filmmaker castings
Brands planning campaign films and social content, fashion labels that want motion next to their stills, photographers who need someone on video during the same shoot, and studios and agencies staffing a production. Every one of them is a verified member whose identity was checked by a person.
How to apply
Applications happen in the CREW app. Your portfolio can hold video, so put your reel and your strongest recent cut where a poster sees them first, then pick the role you want on the casting and answer its questions. Applying is free, and you hear back whether the poster accepts or declines.
Staying safe at castings
Settle the scope before you roll: shoot days, the number of edits and where the footage will run. Keep that conversation on CREW, where castings cannot carry outside links or contact details and where a report reaches the CREW team. Applying never costs money, so a request to pay for a spot on a production is a reason to report.
Questions
Can I show my reel when I apply to a filmmaker casting?
Yes. A CREW portfolio can include video, and the poster sees your verified profile and portfolio with every application you send.
Which filmmaking roles are posted on CREW?
Posters name the role they need, such as director, cinematographer, videographer or editor, and one casting can ask for several roles at once. The Filmmaker category covers all of them.
Does it cost anything to apply to a filmmaker casting?
No. Applying is free. Credits are only used for optional extras, such as standing out on an application, and every price shows in the app before you confirm.

The poster picks
