Castings
Photographer castings
Brands, studios and stylists post on CREW when they need someone behind the camera: lookbooks, editorials, campaigns, portraits and events. Each casting comes from a verified member and names the roles, the dates and, when the poster sets it, the pay. Photographers apply in the app, with their portfolio doing the talking.

Join the waitlistWhat a photographer casting on CREW includes
A photography casting describes the job in a brief: a lookbook, an editorial, a campaign, product or e-commerce days, portraits or an event. It names the role, how many photographers the shoot needs, the shoot date and the deadline to apply, and the pay when the poster sets it. Many also say how the images will be used and how long the shoot runs.
Who posts photographer castings
Brands that need product and campaign images, stylists and creative directors putting a team together, studios and agencies staffing their shoots, and models who want new pictures for their book. Every poster is a verified member who passed an ID, selfie and video check reviewed by a person.
How to apply
Apply in the CREW app: choose the role, answer any questions the poster added, and send. The poster sees your verified profile and your portfolio, so lead with the work closest to the brief: if the casting is a lookbook, your lookbooks should be the first thing they see. Applying is free; standing out on an application costs credits.
Need a team instead? Any verified member can post a casting of their own to find models, stylists or a second shooter.
Staying safe at castings
Confirm the dates, the deliverables and the usage in writing inside CREW before the shoot, and keep the conversation there: castings and profiles cannot carry contact details or outside links, and reporting and blocking only work on CREW. Report any casting that looks like a request for free work dressed up as a job.
Questions
What do I need to apply to a photography casting on CREW?
A verified CREW profile and a portfolio. Verification is free and takes a government ID, a selfie and a short video. Some castings also ask a few questions when you apply.
Can I post a casting to find models for my own shoot?
Yes. Any verified member can post a casting with one or more roles, how many people each needs, the pay, the dates and a deadline. What publishing costs, if anything, is shown in the app before you confirm.
How do I know a photography job on CREW is real?
Only verified members can post, and every member's ID, selfie and video are reviewed by a person. If a casting still looks wrong, report it from the app and the CREW team reviews it.
